Taylor Fest will be held Saturday July 18 at the Germania Maennerchor starting at 4:00 PM. This is a fundraiser for Tayler Holweger who is the daughter of West Side Nut Club member Brent Holweger and his wife Staci. There will be a silent auction beginning at 4:00 PM with dinner being served from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and a special appearance by Taylor at this time. The Troy Miller Band and 6 More Miles will take to the stage at 8:00 PM. A cornhole tournament will also be held as well. Cost is $15.00 a person, which includes dinner and entertainment (kids 10 and under eat free) Door prizes and give-a-ways will also be featured at Taylor Fest 2009.

On Tuesday May 5, the West Side Nut Club held it's annual Founder's Day Banquet at Burdette Park's Discovery Lodge. The evening is an event where members receive their service awards an new members receive their Nut Club plaques, but it is also a night when the club gives back to the community. Proceeds from the annual Fall Festival, which runs the first full week in October on West Franklin Street were given out to 23 different non-profit organizations.
The West Side Nut Club will hold it's annual Founder's Day Banquet tonight. This is a night where the Nut Club donates a large part of it's assets gained from the Annual Fall Festival back to charity and non-profit groups. Falling into despair and eventually fenced off from public use, the Mesker Mall got a much needed face-lift and will once again be a destination for families to use for many years to come.
