One of the more favorable events of the festivals' history is the Queen Contest. The Queen candidates and their escorts are 8th grade students selected by their peers by a voting process. The queen contestants will only be judged for poise, personality, appearance, and general bearing and deportment while on review.
The Queen will receive a tiara, a trophy, and a dozen roses. The 1st runner-up will receive a trophy. The remaining contestants will be 2nd runners-up and receive trophies.
