 Bill Pfettscher shakes hands with Nut Club Members at a recent meeting. The West Side Nut Club held its bi-monthly business meeting on October 16, 2007. During that meeting three individuals were saluted as Nuts of the Month and another was congratulated for his 25 year membership.
Mike Hahn was announced as the October Nut of the Month. President Mark Weizapfel announced that Hahn was recieving this award for his quick work on getting his generator hooked up and allowing the entertainment to continue when a tranformer had previously blown leaving the nightly entertainment at the fall festival in jeopardy. Ray Murphy was honored as they May Nut of the Month for his work on the Model T minature cars. Rick Vindhurst Jr. was recognized but was not in attendance at last nights meeting. Finally Tim Bishop recieved his 25 year membership plaque. Bill Pfettscher, a 65 year member, gave a speech on what the West Side Nut Club means to him. Pfettscher talked about the good the club does and from giving money to education, athletics, and the arts. Pfettscher said "you name it, the club has done a big tremendous thing."
