Nearly 150 West Side Nut Club members worked at Mesker Park Zoo Saturday, June 3rd 2006, to lend their helping hands to a number of projects at the Zoo as part of our annual Spring workday.
The following is a list of projects we completed:
· Rebuild the paddleboat dock on Lake Victoria; · Paint the veterinary building; · Refinish picnic tables and benches; · Plant bamboo; · Resurface a viewing deck; and · Replace the roofs on the two tram stations.
In addition to the above-mentioned projects, the Nut Club is also supplying the materials that will be used to rebuild the paddleboat dock on Lake Victoria.
